Karissa Cuffy

Karissa Cuffy is an improviser, actress, writer, and singer originally from Lima, Ohio. She has performed all over the world including South Korea where she won the popular vote on South Korea’s Nationwide Singing Competition, the country’s longest-running TV show.

You can find Karissa crafting clever, improvised comedic songs and performing with her improv groups Single Living, Basketball Crush, and We Should Start A Podcast in theaters across Chicago.

Karissa is very passionate about elevating diverse perspectives and championing BIPOC voices in comedy. She co-produces the monthly You’re Invited To BIPOC Variety Comedy Series with Karissa and Wongel Productions, a team that fosters a safe space for diverse performers in Chicago.

When Karissa is not doing comedy she enjoys traveling, cooking, and rocking out at concerts.

She is currently a 2025 Bob Curry Fellowship recipient at The Second City Chicago.
